Autonomous Does Not Mean Unrestricted

The transition from AI Companion to AI Agent must remain built around user control.

Connecting a wallet to Cardano Smart AI for analysis should not provide Cardano Smart AI with unrestricted authority over that wallet.

Future autonomous functionality is intended to operate within predefined rules and permissions established by the user.

The main approaches currently being considered are:

User-approved Actions

The AI finds or recommends an action, prepares it and the user approves it through their wallet.

Delegated Wallet Permissions

Existing Cardano wallets may eventually provide ways for users to grant an AI Agent restricted authority under specific conditions.

Dedicated AI Agent Wallets

A separate wallet can be funded specifically for an AI Agent, limiting the Agent to only the capital allocated to it.

The final architecture has not been selected.

We will follow the development of Cardano wallet and agent infrastructure and work with ecosystem teams before making that decision.

The core principle remains
The user sets the boundaries. The Agent operates inside them.
