Liqwid Finance (LQ) Price, Liquidity & Market Data

About Liqwid Finance

Liqwid Finance is Cardano's flagship decentralized lending and borrowing protocol and one of the ecosystem's foundational DeFi applications. Rather than a single lending app, Liqwid operates as the core liquidity layer of Cardano DeFi — a non-custodial, algorithmic money market that turns idle on-chain assets into capital available for lending, borrowing, and yield generation.

LQ is currently priced at $0.2935. Against USD, LQ is down 1.2% over 24 hours and down 6.1% over 30 days. Against ADA, LQ is down 1.7% over 24 hours and down 3.7% over 30 days. It has 9,186 holders, about $237K in DEX liquidity and a market cap of about $5.96M.

More about Liqwid Finance

How it works

Users deposit supported assets into Liqwid's liquidity markets and receive qTokens representing their share of the market and accrued interest. Borrowers post collateral and borrow supported assets within protocol risk limits, with interest rates adjusting automatically based on market utilization. A liquidation engine protects protocol solvency by liquidating undercollateralized positions on-chain. ADA deposits continue to earn Cardano staking rewards through delegated stake pools, so supplying ADA is additive to staking rather than a replacement. Together these mechanics operate as an integrated decentralized money market rather than a simple lending application.

What it solves

Holders of ADA, stablecoins, and Cardano native tokens either leave assets idle or must sell them to access liquidity. Liqwid unlocks capital efficiency on Cardano by letting users earn yield on idle assets while accessing liquidity against their holdings through decentralized, non-custodial lending markets — without giving up ownership of the underlying assets.

Who it is for

Asset suppliers earning interest on deposits; ADA holders who want lending yield while continuing to earn Cardano staking rewards; borrowers accessing overcollateralized loans against their holdings; stablecoin users looking for on-chain yield and stable liquidity; and LQ holders participating in DAO governance and governance staking.
